The key date
UAD 3.6 becomes mandatory for all new appraisal reports submitted to the Uniform Collateral Data Portal on or after November 2, 2026.
What is changing?
The redesign moves away from the old collection of static appraisal forms toward a single dynamic reporting structure aligned with MISMO 3.6. The report can adapt based on property and inspection characteristics and captures more structured property and market data.
Will older appraisals instantly become invalid?
No. Revisions to UAD 2.6 reports that were initially submitted before the mandate can continue during the transition period. The critical date is the initial UCDP submission date.
Why borrowers and agents should care
The appraisal report may look substantially different, appraisers and lenders will be working through new workflows, and property details such as ADUs, manufactured housing characteristics, photos and ANSI-based area reporting receive more structured treatment.
